Quail Magazine
2023 Typography Project
For this project, we were tasked with making a 'zine' about a subject that interested us. I wanted to challenge myself by making something minimalist and modern. As I had observed them all summer running about my mom's backyard, I chose to explore the world of quails. This zine covers quail habitats, hunting practices, conservation, and even includes a recipe.
My moodboard was initially geared towards a warmer and classic feel, meant to evoke feelings of an antique journal or field guide. I pivoted away from this idea as a more contemporary, elegant style would allow me to explore the world of modern magazine design.
